APRIL 15, 2024 - The Detroit Club of Printing House Craftsmen’s Strategic Planning Committee is composed of a diverse group of individuals who reflect the club’s history and membership, and possess a strategic vision for the future. The committee aims to shape the club’s evolution and the value proposition it offers to its over 80 members.

The first meeting was held on April 2, 2024, at Allied Printing. The committee discussed the club’s constitution, bylaws, and the roles of each officer and board member. They also discussed the club’s history and past successes.

The committee identified many areas for improvement, such as the need for better communication and even the possibility of virtual events. They also discussed the frequency of club meetings and questioned the current schedule while improving the topics.

The goals of the club were identified as social & networking, knowledge sharing, and education & scholarships. The committee discussed the importance of these goals and whether a mission statement would help further define the club’s purpose.

The committee also discussed researching best practices from other successful industry groups, evaluating membership tiers and cost models, and acknowledging challenges and brainstorming solutions to make the club a continued valuable group.

The two main goals of the committee are to define the Craftsmen Club Value Proposition and develop a comprehensive Strategic Plan to propose to the Board of Directors and the general membership.
